A Boy Named Jimmy Cobweb by Yolanda Williams

Once there was a boy by the name of Jimmy Cobweb. He is a fifth grader that goes to Pacific Ocean Elementary. It may sound weird but it is true.

Jimmy also has a very weird nickname. It is Ashy Jim. Jimmy is so ashy that when it’s steaming hot outside you may see him wearing some shorts and a short sleeve shirt looking like a big pile of ash.

Well that is what all the other kids say when they see him outside wearing those things. Jimmy may not have any friends, but that is okay with him.

He is one of six children that his mom has. He has four other brothers and one sister, and they are all very popular and he is not.

Jimmy’s mother always tells Jimmy to use lotion, and he does but it is no good. His parents also have tried to do every thing for his ashy problem but nothing would work.

However, I wonder when he becomes an adult would he find a cure for all of his ash problems. So let us talk about his adult hood. I also always wondered would he meet true love one day. In addition, he did but he never found a cure for his ash problem.

Wait a minute. I cannot skip the whole story and just go to the ashy parts so this is how it all started.

His adulthood was very weird because whenever someone saw him they had never seen someone with skin like that. However, by the age of 21, he moved to New York to visit one of his brothers.

There he found a woman that asked him, “What’s wrong with your skin?” After that, they begin to talk a lot and that’s when they fell in love.

However, Jimmy did not know the girl’s name, so he asked her and she said that her name was Crestele. He did not want to leave Crestele, so he stayed in New York where he met her parents.

Her parents lived in a huge house that looked like a castle, and that’s when he found out that she was very rich.

When her parents first saw him, all they could see was ash. They wanted to talk to their daughter in peace and went to a room and talked about his skin color.

When they came out of the room, they had three bottles of lotion. They asked him if he could get all three bottles of lotion and put on his entire body. In addition, when he came out, he was not so ashy anymore. Well, like five minutes later he was back ashy again.

Since her dad was a surgeon, they tried that, but nothing would work for his problem.

A couple of weeks after that he was no longer called Ash Jim but Prince Jim because after the surgery he found out that Crestele was a Princess. They decided to get married. When they had gotten married, that really made him a Prince.

After that, they had four wonderful children; 2 boys and two girls. When the youngest child turned three, he went back to Mango City for Crestele to meet all of his old friend.

They lived happily Ever After. In the end, you must accept the way you are because God made everyone of us different. (No one could do anything about Jimmy’s Problem, but he did find true love.)

The Candy Club!

By: Autumn Collins

Hi, my name is Amber Soni. I have a beautiful Siamese kitten named Yoko. One day Yoko and I went to the Montgomery mall. At the mall I saw this cute collar and leash at the pet store, but there was a problem. Iit was $250.00. “I could never come up with that kind of money!” I thought to myself. “But what if I start a baby sitting club?”

The next day The Candy Club was born. “In this club, (I said to my friends) we will first show what good babysitting skills that you have.” My friend ‘Tori was the first to try out.

“What do you do when a baby is choking?” I asked her.

“I will do CPR if a baby is choking.” She said “O.k., what do you do if she/he got hurt?’’ I asked.

“First call his/her parent(s) and tell them, then call an ambulance. She explained

“Very good Victoria!” I said. The interviewing went on and I have my staff. “Let’s get started!!” I said optimistically.

“Today is the day!” I explained. This morning we put up a gigantic sign that read: You need a sitter, save some time! Call: The Candy Club! We have 8 kind, young, sweet sitters that will take good care of your child or children. All the cost is $10.00 dollars a week!

Well we got our first call to day. It was the Browns. They called to get a sitter for Friday. ‘Tori took the job. I thought each person should have their own personal diaries. So I went to Wall-Mart and bought them. The next meeting I gave them out. “You will write in this diary after every job you have. Agreed?” I said “Agreed!” everyone said.

After that we had so many jobs we got ample than enough money for that collar and leash!!

Yoko and I went back to the Montgomery mall and bought them!!

The End!

The List

By: Autumn Collins

Hi, my name is Britney Sims. I have a story to tell you, its about a list of friends.

It all started went I went to school on the first day of school on August 14, 2006.

My friend since kinder garden, Haley Hanes, was in my class! I went over to speak to her and she was writing a list.

“What-cha doing?” I said

“Nothing.” She replied.

I looked and the paper was titled “My Friends”.It said “Autumn (me), Emily, Samantha, Sydney, Cody, Michel, Destiny, and Ashley.”

I thought for a second, “Should I write a list to?”

So, I went to my desk and started out writing “My Friends”, but I erased it and put “The Boys I Like’’!! Then I wrote “Michel, Cody, Jonah, Tamarcus, and Hayden”!! I left it on my desk to go sharpen my pencil and Haley walked by and looked at it. When she saw it, she took it! I was so scared when I saw it was missing!

Too this day I still have not found it.

A Jellyfish Story by Kyla Greene

Once upon I was swimming in the ocean on March 2, 2008 with my family. I was swimming really deep in the ocean. I saw starfish, anemies, plants of all kinds, amazing things and animals of all sorts. Best of all, I saw was a baby jellyfish. It looked like it was lost, but I didn’t think it was.

Next, I put the baby jellyfish on a rock and took it up to shore. I showed my brothers and they tried to take it from me. I showed them who is boss.

Then, I took it to my mom and showed her the jellyfish and I asked “Can I keep the jellyfish? I will put it in my fish tank to keep?”

Guess what she said “NO!”

I said, "Why not? I will take good care of it. I took care of my fish I found in the pond on the other side of the street. WHY WHY WHY?”I exclaimed.

She told me I had to watch my tone or I will get more than some wild animal. Sometimes she is mean; sometimes she is nice.

Guess what happened next when it was time to go? I snucked the little jellyfish under my towel. When I got home I put her in the fish tank that was in my room so I could get away with it unless my mom came in to see if my room was clean.

The next day I went to the store to get jellyfish food. When I got there the sales person came straight over to me to tell me to get out because I didn’t have enough money for this place. I told him that I was looking for jellyfish food to feed my pet jellyfish.

He said “Do you know how much jellyfish food cost in this store? It cost $200.00” I almost fainted or died.

My experience at Quest

By: Victoria Kelly

Day one

It was my first day at quest. After we got off the bus, we went to the lunch room where the teachers called out their students' names. I was in Mrs. Sharp’s art class. Mrs. Sharp’s class is art. That day she told us about our project.

Our project is about a famous artist. I chose Georgia O’Keeth. She is famous for painting flowers.

Here is one of her flowers that I especially like:

Jimson Weed, 1935http://www.fulcrumgallery.com/Georgia-Okeeffe/Jimson

(Go to the above web site to see her flower.)

Day Two

On Day two we mate our tiles. I painted mine black with a white picture on it. We did youpa. Youpa is a thin sheet of plastic. We put water on it. Then you pour paint on it.

AN AMAZING THING

Hi, my name is Yolanda Denise Williams and an amazing thing happened today as I was going home The boy of my dreams Larry Mills saved my life.
Wait! I cannot skip the whole story and start telling about the boy. (Larry) Therefore, this is how it all started and from the beginning this time.
Like most of the schools, Ware Ferry Road School was dismissed. All of the students were running out as if something was wrong with them. Sinse I was a school bus rider, I had to wait by four or five minutes until the bus came. Therefore, when I say my bus I went and got on it.
I spoke to my bus driver Mr. Walker. After that, Mr. Walker said that he had an awful headache. About thirty-five minutes later, I began to become sleepy. Therefore, I ended up dozing off. However, the whole bus screaming awakened me. When I looked out the window, I realized that the bus was wobbling. Then, I begin to scream too.
As we approached an intersection, I just knew that we all were going to die. Then, WOW! The boy of my dreams, Larry saved my life and everyone that was on the bus too, even the bus driver.
Two weeks later when we got back to school, all of the girls were just hanging around him and calling him “The Amazing Larry.’’ I became very jealous.
Just about one week after that Larry and I went to go and see Mr. Walker and we brought him some flowers.
(One Mouth later Mr. Walker Died. That is when we found out that he had CANCER. Therefore, Larry and I became friends. When he was twenty-five, he was married and moved to New Jersey. He also had one son. When I was, twenty-two, I got married and I moved to New York and had three beautiful children.)

How Valentines came to be

By: Victoria Kelly

Once upon a time a little girl thought why not make up a holiday. So she thought and thought and thought. Finally she decided

to call it Valentines Day named after her dad, Valentine. It would be a month of love. She decided the main celebration would be on February 14 the day she made up the holiday. People would buy candy, heart shaped boxes of chocolate and give them to people who they like. The colors would be pink and red. Soon the holiday would be celebrated all over the world.

This was a holiday made by a lonely child who thought. (Anything is possible)
